At the end of May 2026, the Davis family (Alan, Rachael & Ruby) are taking on the Three Peaks Challenge to raise awareness and vital funds for research into Stargardt’s Disease; a rare, inherited eye condition that leads to central vision loss.

This is a cause very close to our hearts as our daughter Ruby, who is 13 years old, lives with Stargardt’s every day. We will be climbing the highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales (Scafell Pike, Ben Nevis & Snowdon) to shine a light on this condition and help fund research, support and hope for the future, as there is currently no treatment or cure for Stargardt’s.

For Ruby, this challenge represents resilience, determination and refusing to be defined by her diagnosis. Every step we take is for her, and for all those affected by Stargardt’s Disease.
