The Three Amigos Fundraiser for Esperanza Health Centers

Jorge Reyes is raising money for Esperanza Health Centers
For thousands of low income individuals on the southwest side of Chicago affordable, quality healthcare in unattainable. You can help us change this. Esperanza Health Centers provides high quality, affordable care to all.

Story

The Three Amigos Run on behalf of Esperanza Healthcare is a fundraising campaign for the 2026 Bank of America Chicago Marathon, built around three families who look at the world around them and want to do something together that creates a real, positive effect in their community.

For over 20 years, Esperanza has provided care for those who have been historically underserved and overlooked, and now serves more than 55,000 patients annually across 8 locations in the Chicagoland area — delivering state-of-the-art care that reflects the community it serves, with love and care.

The participants on this journey are Jorge Reyes (Chicago), Kevin Bandemer (Phoenix), and Kevin Lu (San Francisco), who will train across three cities and converge in Chicago on October 11, 2026, to raise $26,200 for Esperanza Health Centers.

Three dads, three moms, and six kids who love them are coming together to put a crooked number on the board that everyone can be proud of. This campaign draws on the friendships, grit, and humor of three men and their families who came up in the same era and now carry very different lives — but share a belief that access to healthcare shouldn't depend on your zip code, your income, or where you were born.
