Story
This May half term, the four of us – myself, my husband, my son, and my stepdad – will be taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge to raise money for the TATA Foundation.
For those who don’t know, I am a 3D areola artist. The work I do helps restore confidence and a sense of wholeness to women and men after breast cancer surgery. It’s often the final step in their reconstruction journey – and an incredibly emotional one.
The TATA Foundation funds artists like myself to provide 3D areola tattooing for patients who do not have private health insurance or simply cannot afford to pay privately. This treatment can be life-changing, but unfortunately it isn’t always accessible to everyone.
By walking the Three Peaks, we are raising funds to help replenish the foundation so that more patients can access this restorative treatment, regardless of their financial situation.
The Yorkshire Three Peaks is a 24-mile challenge across Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough – and it won’t be easy! But every step we take will be for the patients who deserve to feel whole, confident and supported.
If you’re able to donate, no matter how small, it would mean so much to us – and to the future patients who will benefit from the TATA Foundation’s support.
Thank you for being part of this journey with us 🤍
