My name is Lauren, I am one of five fiercely independent, creative, driven and close knit siblings, but tragically our brother Jordan died suddenly in October 2022, aged just 39, due to undiagnosed Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT).

DVT is a blood clot that forms in a vein deep in the body, most often the leg, which can break off and travel through the bloodstream to an artery in the lungs, blocking blood flow and causing pulmonary embolism.

It stopped his heart.

We as a family and his his two incredible teenage girls, have been left absolutely broken by his loss.

Thrombosis remains a major cause of death in the UK yet many people have little or no understanding about the causes and effects of thrombosis, and how it can be prevented.

We certainly had no understanding of this, until it was too late.

Our family would be beyond grateful for any help in raising awareness of DVT in Jordan’s name by supporting Thrombosis UK.
