Thurlsestone Golf Club's Captains, Fiona & John have chosen the Kingsbridge Community Care Hub as their charity for this year. Any funds raised during their year as Captain will go directly to the Charity, helping it with the important work it does in the local community.

The Care hub provide freshly prepared, nutritious 3-course meals Monday to Friday for clients to enjoy within the Care Hub or delivered to their homes via our own Meals on Wheels service.

They also aim to provide an active social care and wellbeing service (together with the families or carers who support them) by offering a range of activities and support at the Care Hub. These include gentle exercise classes with qualified trainers; arts and crafts groups; coffee mornings; Repair Cafes; Mustard Tree Cancer Outreach groups; community-led Compassionate Cafes and Alzheimer Society Memory Cafes; sing-along music sessions; play reading and amateur theatre groups; free Legal Advice Clinics and our own welfare and benefit Advice Centre open from 9.00am - 2.00pm Monday to Friday.
