thyssenkrupp Materials UK: The BIG Climb Challenge for Dementia UK
Following the incredible success of last year's BIG Commute Challenge, where we raised a remarkable £10,450 for Cancer Research UK, thyssenkrupp Materials UK is pleased to announce our latest fundraising initiative: The BIG Climb Challenge. This year, we're proud to support our new company charity of the year, Dementia UK.
The BIG Climb Challenge is set to be an exciting and demanding adventure, involving the ascent of the three highest peaks in the UK—Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon—within approximately 29 hours. Our dedicated climbing team consists of 8 incredible colleagues from various divisions across our business. These colleagues represent Northern Ireland, Coil Processing, Fabrications, the Centres of Excellence for Long Product, Flat Product, and Waterjet cutting, as well as the Central Materials Hub in the Midlands.
Our team is undertaking this great challenge to raise awareness and funds for Dementia UK, supporting their vital work in providing specialist dementia support for families through their Admiral Nurse service. We believe that with your generous support, we can make a significant difference in the lives of those affected by dementia.
