We are taking on the Derbyshire Three Peaks Challenge to raise vital funds for Ovarian Cancer Action, and we need your help.

Ovarian cancer is often called a silent killer. The symptoms are easily overlooked, and by the time it's diagnosed, many patients are already in advanced stages of the disease. With limited treatment options, a 70% chance of recurrence, and no universal screening program in place, the need for change has never been more urgent.

Here at Nottingham City Hospital Gynae Theatres, we’ve seen firsthand the impact of ovarian cancer on individuals and families. Many of us have witnessed loved ones suffer, and tragically, some of us have lost those we care about. We’re walking in their honour—and to help ensure that future generations don’t face the same challenges.

By raising money, we’re helping to fund groundbreaking research, improve early detection methods, support screening programs, and increase public awareness. Every step we take up those peaks is a step toward better understanding, better treatment, and—ultimately—a better chance of survival.
