Story
Tiddly Winks are fundraising for Millie. Millie is a remarkable little girl who has faced many challenges in her young life, including undergoing 35 brain surgeries. Millie was born at just 29 weeks alongside her twin sister, Macy, who has been a valued member of our Willow’s Room. Millie lives with hydrocephalus, cerebral palsy, epilepsy and a visual impairment, but continues to show incredible strength and determination.
As Macy prepares to leave Tiddly Winks to start school, we wanted to hold a special fundraiser for the family while we still have them as part of our Tiddly Winks community. We have been incredibly lucky to have cared for all of the four siblings at some point, and it feels very special to support their family as they begin this next chapter.
To raise money and awareness for Millie's condition, the practitioners at Tiddly Winks will be working together to run (and walk) the equivalent distance of two marathons, throughout the day of Monday 24th August. We will also be hosting a cake sale and a selection of small stalls in the garden for our Tiddly Winks families to enjoy.
All donations will be paid into the Just4Children general fund, which is dedicated to raising and managing funds to support sick and disabled children. The charity helps provide vital support towards medical treatments, therapies, and specialist equipment to improve children’s lives.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a meaningful difference and is greatly appreciated. We hope you will join us in supporting Millie and her family, helping us raise awareness and funds for this wonderful cause.
