London Landmarks Half Marathon 2025 · 6 April 2025 ·

Far too many of us have felt the pain of losing someone we love. With your donations, we power groundbreaking cardiovascular research to save and improve lives, bring hope to families, and keep hearts beating across the UK.

Story

In 2012 at just 17 years old my sister Tania suddenly passed. Tania was born with a rare heart condition and was given only one month to live, but after proving doctors wrong Tania survived 17 wonderful years that we will always cherish. Although it wasn’t her heart that sadly caused her death, the tubes from her heart to her brain were twisted which then caused her to pass away from a brain hemorrhage and a stroke. She had her whole life ahead of her and the world to see.

Tania was such a beautiful, caring and unique girl who never failed to make people laugh. As Tania got older she decided she wanted to be an organ donor and after her passing she donated her kidneys, liver and lungs which helped saved three peoples lives one of which was a little girl who was just 5 years old at the time who we still keep in touch with.

In memory of my sisters 30th birthday this year i am going to be taking part in the London landmark half-marathon on Sunday 6th April 2025 to help raise money for the british heart foundation which has been apart of our families lives since Tania was a baby.

I know if Tania was still here she would be cheering me on from the sideline and if my sister can help saves lives after her passing then im hoping me taking part and raising money will also help others.

Rest in peace Tania x
