This year, Year 7 will be hosting coffee mornings in school for local care home residents in Kingston Upon Thames. Over 700,000 people over 65 report that they feel lonely with 11% being in contact with family less than once a month. The coffee mornings will provide an opportunity for students to help their local community with a cake, coffee and chat!

Before they host their events in the Summer, students have been challenged with raising the funds to buy the supplies they will need for their events. Funds should be raised through housework, pocket money, sponsored events, raffles, bake sales etc.

All funds not spent on hosting the coffee mornings will be donated to AgeUK on behalf of the Year 7 fundraisers.
