Tilly's fundraiser for SameYou

London Landmarks Half Marathon 2025 · 6 April 2025 ·
I will be running the London Landmarks half marathon on Sunday 6th April 2025 in the hope to raise money and awareness for the SameYou.
Myself and many others lost a dear friend recently who suffered a brain injury a few years ago and it drastically changed his life leading to his passing earlier on this year. So in memory of him, I am running my first ever half marathon to raise awareness and to continue to carry Harry's memory in honour.
1 in 3 people will have an Acquired Brain Injury at some point in their lives - we want to help give people the best possible chance of recovery.
SameYou works to increase access to recovery for young adults after leaving hospital and to facilitate innovations in specialist nurse training, fund clinical research and develop evidence for policy change.
Our long-term vision is to work with neurorehabilitation leaders to develop a blueprint for a new type of neuro-recovery centre helping people find their way to recovery.
I lost a dear family friend Billy in a car crash. Billy was the kind of person who lit up every room he walked into—a true friend, a constant source of laughter, and someone who always had your back no matter what. Losing him has left an emptiness I can’t put into words.
To cope with this heartbreak and honor Billy’s memory, I’ve decided to run a half marathon in his name and Harry's. Every step I take is for him—every mile represents the friendship we shared and the impact he had on everyone who knew him.
But this run is not just about me. It’s about all of us who loved Billy and want to carry his spirit forward. I’m raising money to support Scottys little soldiers, which I know Billy would have been passionate about. Your support will help make a difference, and together we can keep Billy’s memory alive in a meaningful way.
If you’re able to donate, no amount is too small—every little bit helps. If you can’t donate, sharing this page and spreading the word would mean the world to me. I know Billy would be humbled by the outpouring of love and support.
Thank you for being part of this journey with me. Let’s run for Billy, and make sure his light continues to shine.
