Ben Nevis Trek · 24 May 2026

DASU provides professional coordinated and targeted interventions to people experiencing domestic abuse across Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire and Wrexham. Our services offer choice to our service users, maximising their safety, and the safety of their families

Story

We are 12 women from Wander Women taking on the challenge of climbing Ben Nevis to raise money for DASU (Domestic Abuse Safety Unit) a local charity that provides life-saving support to people affected by domestic abuse across North Wales.

DASU has over 30 years of experience supporting women, men, children and young people. They offer professional, independent domestic abuse support, safety planning, advocacy, access to refuge accommodation, emergency safe housing, and help navigating the Criminal, Civil and Family Court systems. They also work closely with North Wales Police and support people to remain safe in their own homes where possible.

Every year, DASU supports over 6,000 individuals across Wrexham, Flintshire, Conwy and Denbighshire. Many people fleeing abuse are forced to leave with nothing – no belongings, no toiletries, and no time to prepare.

Your donation will help provide essential items, restore dignity, and fund vital safety measures such as personal alarms and home security, helping survivors and their children rebuild their lives safely.

Every step we take up Ben Nevis is for safety, strength and hope.

Thank you so much for supporting Wander Women and DASU ❤️
