At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Hello,

My mormor, maternal grandmother, was one of the kindest people I ever knew. She was loving, generous and welcoming to all she met and made friends wherever she went. Sadly she suffered with Alzheimer's for her final years with us and though she remained her gentle self, it hurt seeing the person we dearly loved slowly fade away. The last conversation I ever had with her was about our shared love of cycling. In her early 20s she found great joy and freedom living and cycling around Copenhagen as a student and at the time I was having the same experiences. I'm grateful that my last memory of her is a happy one and hope that, with your help, I can raise as much money as possible to rid the world of the disease that took my lovely mormor from me before her time. Thank you very much for any help or support you may feel able to give xx

Lots of love Tom
