Heart and Stroll: A Community Walk with a Heart
Our story...
As many of you will know, Tim suffered a cardiac arrest on his 70th birthday in August 2022. His daughter Deana performed CPR and saved his life. Tim spent 5 days in intensive care in University Hospital Southampton. Then moved to the cardiac ward. He went on to make a full recovery.
Tim has continued to embrace life, travelling the world with his wife Julie. He is a much loved Grandad, his granddaughters Georgia, Teia, Erin & Emilia will be joining him on the walk, along with Bella the dog!
As a family we want to support the amazing work the cardiac team provided for Tim. We are forever grateful.
Heart and Stroll is far more than just a walk in the park—it's an opportunity to take a meaningful step toward better heart health while supporting an important cause. This family-friendly event encourages participants to incorporate a short walk into their routines as a small but impactful way to improve cardiovascular health. With every step, attendees are joining a community committed to raising awareness about heart health and taking proactive steps for their own wellness. Along the way, Heart and Stroll offers a chance for families, friends, and even four-legged companions to come together, celebrating the strength of community and the power of taking action for a healthy heart.
Funds raised from Heart and Stroll will go directly to the Lead Heart Failure Unit at the Wessex Cardiac Unit in University Hospital Southampton, helping it become the largest Lead Heart Failure Unit in the UK. With Heartbeat’s mission at the forefront.
