We raise awareness and offer support to people affected by facial palsy

Story

This year is the 10th Anniversary of me suffering facial palsy. It is a very under recognised condition and one that has a range of effects. Although I still have some ongoing treatment I am thankful that I have very mild symptoms now. There are however many others in a far less fortunate position than myself including children, those that have suffered accidents and those where the condition has been caused by diseases such as cancer.

The Facial Palsy UK charity does amazing work to support people and their families that suffer from Facial Palsy. On the 10 year anniversary of the onset of my condition I want to raise as much money as possible for Facial Palsy UK to say thank you for the support I have received from them and the Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead where I receive treatment.

For this event I am going to ride solo and unsupported from St Malo all the way down the West Coast of France to Bilbao in Spain. I have 10 days to cover more than 1000km on my gravel bike with all my kit.

Please support this worthy charity and sponsor me on this ride! Thanks!
