15 riders, led by adventure cyclist Andrew Crompton, will undertake a self-funded challenge cycling 630 miles from RAF Lossiemouth to RAF Wyton from 12-19 September 2025 raising funds for Airplay, the RAF Benevolent Fund's youth support programme.

Story

I'm part of the 2025 Riding on Air cycle challenge team raising £60,000 towards Airplay, the RAF Benevolent Fund's flagship youth support programme.

Rest assured all riders are covering fully their own costs of accommodation and support, every penny raised goes to the charity.

There are 15 of us aiming to hit the £60,000 target by riding the 630 miles from RAF Lossiemouth to RAF Wyton.

Established in 2010, Airplay has youth clubs at 24 RAF stations across the UK, aimed at children and young people aged eight to eighteen, providing a vital role in supporting the children of serving families, with parents often on overseas postings.

Current membership is 2,947 children and young people, monies raised here will help ensure they continue to receive the support they deserve.
