On 13th May 2022, our first son, Percy, was stillborn.
In an instant, all the excitement, hope and joy in our lives was extinguished. We both felt broken and exhausted, with little hope for a family or the future.
Four years later, our lives are unrecognisable. We’ve been blessed with two fantastic children who are growing up with Percy’s name and influence all around them.
To mark the fourth anniversary of our son’s death, I’m taking on my biggest ever fundraising challenge to support two charities that have given us the strength and resolve to go on.
All proceeds from Tim’s Trail will be split equally between Sands, the UK’s leading pregnancy and baby loss charity, and Sands United Manchester FC, a team of local Dads playing the game they love in memory of all our much-missed babies.
Over the course of seven gruelling days, I’m aiming to cover all 210 miles of the East-West Transpennine Trail route, walking an average of 30 miles per day with no support. Admittedly, I’m not as prepared as I would like to be but therein lies the challenge!
I am determined to complete this trek in memory of our son, but I will need your help. Every penny raised will give me an extra ounce of energy and motivation during the Trail, knowing that together we’re helping families rebuild their lives after loss.
