Tim's fundraiser for Young Lives vs Cancer

Endure24 Reading 2025 · 7 June 2025 to 8 June 2025 ·
Cancer doesn’t discriminate and will affect the lives directly or indirectly of every family in the country. It is particularly cruel when it strikes children, a time in life that should be full of joy, learning, growth and preparation for a life ahead.
Instead when a child is diagnosed with cancer life becomes full of fear, for them and their family. Fear of treatment, but also of families being torn apart, overwhelming money worries, of having nowhere to turn, no one to talk to.
Young Lives vs Cancer is a wonderful charity that helps families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer and there is a constant challenge to raise sufficient funds to provide the support that they need.
This is my challenge to try and raise some funds, in a small way to allow the charity to continue the great work that they do.
Endure 24 is a trail race based at Wasing Park near Reading in early June. It is a time based event and runners either individually, as a pair or part of a team will complete as many 8km laps as possible from the start at 12pm on Saturday until 12pm on Sunday.
Running solo I will attempt to complete as many 8km loops as possible in the allocated 24 hours. To give some context I am well into my seventh decade and the furthest I have ever run in a day is 70km.
Any donations will be most welcome but I know we are in the middle of a cost of living crisis so please only give what you are able.
