Story
WaterAid is an international not-for-profit, determined to make clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene normal for everyone, everywhere within a generation. Only by tackling these three essentials in ways that last can people change their lives for good.
Clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene should be a normal part of everyone’s daily life. Without all three, people can’t live dignified, healthy lives. With all three, they can unlock their potential, break free from poverty and change their lives for good.
The Berlin Marathon has long been a dream of mine. The enjoyment and freedom that I get from running would be enough to sign up in itself, add in the location, but more importantly the presence of mind of why I'm running, makes it all the more worthwhile.
I live a very privileged life. I can walk up to a tap for a drink and I've got cold, clean running water. I can wash my hands with soap and sanitiser and I have access to a toilet just about anywhere I go. This, sadly, isn't the case for everyone. It should be.
I've had many fantastic travel experiences, something I'm extremely grateful for. But many, if not all, have been for my own personal experience. Being able to run a marathon while raising money for people who are less fortunate, to help them improve the quality of their everyday life, excites me massively.
If you choose to donate, thank you, you're a legend! You've helped better someone's life!
All the proceeds will be going to WaterAid in order to help better everyone's daily lives with clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene. All things that I certainly take for granted.
Why donate?

>1 in 5 people (1.7 billion) still don't have a decent toilet of their own
1 child dies every 2 minutes from a lack of clean water and poor toilets
From every $2, $1.50 is spent helping provide people with safe water, toiles and hygiene essentials, and $0.50 is spent on fundraising.
