Mental ill health is no respecter of persons. Clergy support their wider community but the nature of the work can result in feelings of stress and burnout. St Luke’s has helped the clergy to flourish for 130 years. With your help we can continue to offer support to those that support us.

Story

St Luke's for Clergy Wellbeing supports clergy in a variety of ways, primarily in providing support focussing on mental health.

We support individuals and dioceses.

I am a trustee of this charity and hope to raise a small sum to support them by running this half marathon.

As well as providing interventions to support individuals both clergy and their families, St Luke's is also involved in advocacy and is working to increase 'pastoral supervision' that is targeted help for clergy to reflect on the work they do and its impact on their lives.

I have been ordained for over 40 years and do understand something of the joys and privileges of being a clergy person as well of course as knowing about the pressures and the burdens that clergy bear.

I have known about St Lukes for a long time and am impressed by the work they do both to provide direct individual support for clergy who are struggling with mental health issues and also advocate for changes right across the Church of England.

I would be grateful for any support you can give.
