I'm running a marathon!!

I've never done it before and despite months of training, still don't know whether I will be able to. However, I'm doing it for a very special cause.

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer, yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease since records began in 2002.

Three people I know have been lost to this awful disease in the last year!

Lions International (MD105) British Isles is working in partnership with Brain Tumour Research to raise £1 million to help fund game-changing research and raise awareness of the impact of brain tumours. Brain Tumour Research is supports one of the UK’s most significant collaborative groups of laboratory-based scientists.

I realise my target is very ambitious but £2,740 is the cost of a day's brain tumour research.
