Taking on the Cheshire Triathlon for LandAid

Cheshire Triathlon · 19 May 2024
In May 2023, one of our dear LandAid colleagues passed away after a short battle with cancer.
Through his career, Kev made a huge impact on the lives of young people experiencing or at risk of homelessness, as well as the people who were lucky enough to work alongside him.
To honour Kev's memory, and the invaluable contribution he made, I'm taking on the Cheshire Triathlon for LandAid - the property industry charity which funds and supports life changing services for 16-24 year-olds across the UK.
And given that, prior to this year, the last swimming lesson I had was 32 years ago, it's going to be something of a challenge!
But nothing compared to the challenges that the 135,800 young people in the UK who presented themselves as homeless last year face every single day.
By sponsoring me, you will not only be helping to ensure that young people facing homelessness have a safe, secure and positive future, but you will be doing so in the memory of King Kev, who was a passionate advocate of young people, who gave us all a clear sense of why our work is so important, now more than ever.
Oh, and you'll really be spurring me on, on the day, as well. 😊
Please donate if you can - my target is £1100, which is what it takes for us to fund an emergency bedspace for just one young person experiencing homelessness.
