Hospice Strictly 2026

Timothy Kenney is raising money for Hospice of the Good Shepherd

Hospice Strictly 2026 · 5 September 2026 · Start fundraising for this event

On Saturday 5th September 2026 we are holding our own Hospice Strictly dance event inspired by the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ TV show, featuring local contestants paired with professional dancers, all competing for the coveted Glitterball trophy.

Story

In the latest of a long line of doing daft things for charity I bring you the opportunity to support me in The Hospice of the Good Shepherd Strictly Come Dancing Competition 2026 on September 5th !

I am towards the 'upper end of the age profile' of the dancers (but that didn’t stop Bill Bailey - and it won’t stop me)!

I have been paired with the fabulous Amber Buttery, and we have been given a lovely dance to perform - the waltz .

So whilst I’m making a complete (and I suspect rather public) ‘show’ of myself in an effort to entertain and raise as much money as I can - the least you wonderful person can do is to support me in this challenge !!

Hopefully everyone appreciates what the Hospice movement does for their local communities. We are so fortunate to have The Hospice Of the Good Shepherd looking after us in Chester - it provides its services free of charge to its patients but at a cost of £5.6 million to run each year with just 17% of the funding received coming from statutory sources. The remaining 83% is raised from a range of fundraising activities and the support of the generous local community in Cheshire.

Go on.. please chuck a few quid in!

Thanks
