Phillips Medisize 3 Peak Challenge 2025 · 12 September 2025

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

After a three year hiatus I'm fundraising again via a crazy company challenge that I have proposed and gained support from the company I work for, Phillips Medisize. So what am I doing. Taking a walk for to raise money for Alzheimer's Society.

1 in 3 of us will be diagnosed with dementia in their lifetime - there is no cure

1.4 million will be living with it in the UK in 15 years time - think how old you will be!

Most people will know that as a family, Sonia, Ella and I moved in and cared for my mum Peggy Smithers for over 8 years who developed the disease. Its a horrible way to end ones life. Alzheimer’s Society is the UK’s leading care and research charity for people with dementia.

So the challenge is for a group of colleagues to walk/climb the three highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales within a 24 hour period.

Our company is supporting this through time and funds for the event, we just need to complete the walk and raise money.

All donations will go towards Alzheimers Society. No donation is paying for the activity.

Please support in anyway you can for a charity that unfortunately 1 in 3 of us will probably need at some point. Dementia doesn't just impact the person with the diagnosis, but everyone around them.
