Tina's story
As many of you know, my son has been diagnosed with a rare brain condition called GLUT1 deficiency syndrome. This condition brings numerous challenges, including seizures, and unfortunately, there is no cure. The only option we have to help manage his symptoms is through a strict medical diet.
Since receiving this diagnosis, we have found incredible support from The Daisy Garland. They have been a lifeline for our family, providing guidance and assistance whenever we need it. Whether it's offering advice or simply being there to listen on those tough days, their unwavering support has made a significant difference in our lives. It truly feels like being part of a community that lifts each other up during difficult times.
The work that The Daisy Garland does for families like ours is invaluable. They go above and beyond to ensure that we are not alone in this journey. I cannot express how grateful I am for their presence in our lives.
To show my appreciation and to help raise funds for this amazing charity, I am doing hair purple and outfit day again! This personal challenge will take place on 26th March 2026, and I am aiming to raise awareness and money. Every contribution counts and will go directly towards supporting families affected and supported by the charity.
Pictures of the final hair and outfit will be up on the 26th of March 2026
