Story
Throughout May, Tippers and Lon Rake Spar are coming together to raise awareness of skin cancer risks faced by outdoor workers, while raising funds for Cancer Research UK.
As part of the campaign, colleagues, customers and industry partners are supporting a range of fundraising activities, including a charity football match between the two businesses.
With skin cancer rates continuing to rise, particularly amongst those working outdoors, the campaign aims to encourage greater awareness around sun safety, UV protection and early detection, whilst raising as much money as possible for Cancer Research UK
Part of awareness month we have organised:
Tippers vs Long Rake Spar: Charity Football Match 2026
On the 13th May 2026, teams from Tippers and Long Rake Spar will go head-to-head in a charity football match to raise funds for Cancer Research UK during Skin Cancer Awareness Month.
This cause is especially close to our hearts, as Long Rake Spar's Group Sales Director Shane McCormick has personally battled skin cancer. We’re raising money to support vital research, increase awareness, and help fund the work that will bring us closer to beating cancer. Every donation, big or small, will make a difference.
