🏃 Paul's 22km Titan Run for Brighter Smiles!
Paul is taking on the Haría Titán—a demanding 22km race across the otherworldly volcanic terrain of Lanzarote—to support the incredible work of Friends of Toowa school toothbrushing project, in Uganda.
This challenge is more than just a run. Paul will be battling the elements and the clock over a course that is a constant test of will. The route winds over jagged, technical rock, loose scree, and deep black sand, demanding concentration with every single step. Add in lung-busting climbs, treacherous descents, and the intense Canary Island heat and sun exposure, and every kilometre is a triumph of endurance.
But his physical struggle is nothing compared to the daily challenges faced by the young students at Toowa School.
Through the Healthy Teeth Healthy Lives programme, led by dedicated dental hygienist Anne Martin Powders, supported by Kathleen Houghton and coordinated by Elijah, children from impoverished backgrounds are finally learning crucial dental care. For many, they had never even owned or used a toothbrush, leading to painful tooth decay.
For two years, this initiative has provided essential education, toothbrushes and fluoride toothpaste, guiding the 3-6 year olds through a daily toothbrushing programme. We are grateful to Dentaid The Dental Charity as it continues to support the children's dental health with the annual clinics and education.
Please support Paul's effort to take on the Haría Titán and help him make every painful step count for these children. Your donation will not only give him the fuel and motivation to cross that 22 km finish line, but more importantly, it will help these young children continue to build a brighter, pain-free future with healthier smiles and increased confidence.
