Brain Tumour Research is the leading voice of the brain tumour community and focused on finding a cure for all types of brain tumours. We are campaigning to increase the national investment in research to £35 million per year and funding sustainable Centres of Excellence across the UK.

Story

Dan is fundraising for Brain Tumour Research as part of the Taylors Warriors team for Neil's Appeal. BTR are the only national charity dedicated to funding long-term, sustainable research in the UK.

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer… yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease.

Neils Appeal has been set up by Neil Taylor after receiving the lifechanging news that he had a grade three astrocytoma tumour in the left frontal lobe of his brain. Since that diagnosis in early 2017, Neil along with his family and friends have embarked on consistent challenges to raise much needed funds for BTR, with the hope to help find some sort of cure or better treatment that may even help Neil in the future as he is still living with the fact that the tumour could re-grow at any time.

Neil is an inspiration to us all with his continual optimism and positive attitude to life and doing whatever he can to help this cause. So far he has raised an amazing £36k!

Dan's target is set to £2740 as this amount funds one day of research at one the the BTR Centres of Excellence.

Dan will be starting the marathon on Sunday 8th October in Chicago and hopefully completing it before nightfall! ;)
