Story

As someone who loves food (as many of you know!), it’s hard to imagine what life would be like without access to it. That’s why on 13th October, I’ll be running a half marathon to raise funds for the Trussell Trust, a charity that supports those facing food insecurity.

If you’d like to join me in supporting this cause, any donation—big or small—would be greatly appreciated and will go directly to helping those in need.

More people than ever have been pushed into extreme poverty over the last decade as a result of Covid 19 and the cost-of-living crisis, leaving many unable to afford the basics or put food on the table.

In the last 12 months, The Trussell Trust recorded:

• 37% increase in food parcels

• 3 million emergency food parcels given out by food banks in the Trussell Trust network

• More than 1 million of these for children

• More than 760,000 people using a food bank for the first time

Throughout 2024 and 2025, CNA Hardy will be raising money for our corporate partner, The Trussell Trust, through our tuck shop, challenge events and CNA Hardy charity fundraisers. Please give generously to help TT support food banks now and crucially to continue to work towards a future where food banks are no longer needed.
