Toby's fundraiser for Stargardt's Connected

Toby Evans is raising money for Stargardt's Connected

Bike ride from London to Paris · 11 September 2025

Stargardt's Disease is an inherited progressive condition that affects the retina. It causes blurring of vision and problems in seeing fine details such as recognising faces and reading a book. Please donate to help raise awareness, give support and to fund research to find treatments and a cure.

Story

Mark Taylor and I are on our way - cycling from Marble Arch in London to the Arc de Triomphe in Paris on a tandem. We are raising funds in support of Stargardt’s Connected, a small charity that I am involved with, that’s mission is to raise awareness, support people diagnosed with Stargardt’s disease, and help find a cure for it.

Stargardt’s disease is a rare inherited eye condition that causes progressive vision loss. It often begins in childhood or young adulthood and can make everyday things like reading or recognising faces difficult. Right now, there’s no treatment or cure – but research is moving forward faster than ever, and that’s why raising awareness and funding is so important.

I’m covering all the costs of the trip myself, so every penny you donate goes directly to Stargardt’s Connected and the vital work they do.

You’ll be able to follow my journey with live tracking and updates on www.brcc.bike during the ride.

Thank you so much for your support – it will mean a lot to the charity.
