Toby Harding is raising money for Bowra Foundation

10 Day Wilderness Paddle · 28 June 2025

After a life-changing stroke ended his Special Forces career, Mark rebuilt his life with support from family, friends and charities. He founded BOWRA Foundation to empower people living with the effects of brain injury through practical support, challenge and community.

Story

After completing the South Downs Way in 2022 and Hadrians Wall in 2023, having raised over £5,000 for the Bowra foundation and other charities, Harri and George are undertaking their most adventurous challenge yet, a 370km unsupported paddle down the Teslin river in the Yukon territory, Canada.

For ten days they will paddle and set camp and cook for themselves under the watchful eye of two responsible adults.

The Bowra foundation is a small charity specializing in after care for those who have suffered strokes. Given the small size of the foundation the money raised will make a real difference and will be clearly accounted for.

All funds raised go directly to the Bowra charity with costs being privately funded.
