On 19th July 2022 I was involved in a workplace accident that saw me undergo several surgeries in a short space of time to repair damage caused to my body and intensive physio to get me walking again.

Once the physical healing was complete it was time to work on the mental healing.

Along my journey my family has been there throughout the process and I’ve been blessed to have some great friends and colleagues that have allowed that healing to continue.

The CCH is an organisation that helps all types of people from all walks of life, whether that be through the activities provided or through faith, and without charitable donations and grants it would simply not exist.

Members of the CCH were there for me when I wanted to chat, sometimes about the accident, sometimes about nothing in particular - but they were there. Having those people available to me and the kindness they showed went along way in helping with my healing process.

Although my journey is not complete, I am a good way down the road thanks to all the help and guidance I have received.

The CCH is currently going through some changes and are looking to expand there current premises to expand the activities and facilities on offer and to introduce new offerings to the community. As mentioned earlier the CCH is run on charitable donations and grants to help it operate, so I implore you to give generously to this charity, to allow them to keep providing the rural communities a safe, warm, welcome space to visit.

So for me to help this wonderful charity, on August 1st 2026 I will be undertaking a wing walk at a local airfield. This will see me strapped to the top a perfectly good aeroplane and flown round for fun. As mad as my family and friends think I am, I couldn’t think of a better way to raise money than by doing something that will get the blood pumping, create memories and raise some money for a great cause.
