On Saturday 11 July 2026, I will be taking on the Race to the Stones ultramarathon — a 100km non-stop run along the Ridgeway, the UK’s oldest road, established over 5,000 years ago.

Starting in Lewknor, South Oxfordshire, the route passes through numerous historic landmarks before finishing at the iconic Avebury Standing Stones, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

I am undertaking this challenge to raise vital funds for Down Syndrome Swimming Great Britain (DSS-GB) — a fantastic, volunteer-led charity that supports aspiring swimmers with Trisomy 21 or Mosaic Down syndrome. DSS-GB aims to be the leading voice for competitive swimmers at national and international level, while sharing best practice and practical guidance with families, clubs, and coaches.
