Toby's 'Maker Lab Game' fundraiser for Alzheimer's Society

Toby Roberts is raising money for Alzheimer's Society
At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

I made a game, and I would like it to do some good.

It is called Maker Lab. You run a makerspace on your iPhone: customers want keyrings, coasters and drone frames, and you have a row of 3D printers, a laser cutter and one pair of hands. Ten shifts take you from a scruffy garage to a bright studio, with jams, fires and power cuts along the way.

It is free, with no adverts and nothing to buy. The one button in the game that mentions money opens this page.

Why this page? The game is a workout for working memory, planning and attention. Dementia takes exactly those things away from people, and from the people who love them. A phone game is no cure, but if you enjoyed twenty minutes in the lab, a few pounds here goes straight to Alzheimer's Society. Every penny to them, none to me.

Thank you for playing, and thank you for giving.
