Story
Hi friends,
In April I’m going to be running the Manchester marathon, and in doing so I’m hoping to raise money for an amazing children’s charity close to my heart, Saarah’s Fund.
Saarah's Fund was set up in memory of my younger cousin, Saarah, who passed away completely unexpectedly in her sleep on the 11th of March 2011. Saarah’s fund supports sick babies and children, and children with special needs, both in the UK and overseas.
Right now, in light of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, Saarah’s Fund have launched an urgent appeal for 25 incubators at a total cost of £10,000.
These incubators are real lifesavers. They are ideal for Gaza; they are portable, resusable and do not require stable electricity. What's more they cost only $500 (about £400). They have been successfully deployed in war zones like Ukraine and in northern Syria, following the devasting earthquakes there last year.
With 50,000 pregnant women in Gaza, of which over 5,000 are expected to give birth in the next month or so, 600 to 1,000 incubators are required.
Please help to share this and if you are able, any donation, big or small, is hugely appreciated and will be going to a great cause.
