Help me raise funds for Vale DAS 💜
This October, I’ll be taking on the Cardiff Half Marathon 2025 — pounding the streets of our capital city not just for the challenge, but for a cause that truly matters.
I’m raising money for Vale Domestic Abuse Services (Vale DAS) — a local charity supporting Women and children in the Vale of Glamorgan who are affected by domestic abuse. Vale Domestic Abuse Services create lasting change in the Vale of Glamorgan, making sure domestic abuse, sexual violence, and any other form of violence against women, children and girls cannot – and will not – be excused.
Their mission is to give hope to all those affected by domestic abuse in the hope that life can be different. The funds raised by supporters enable them to provide life-affirming care for survivors of violence and abuse. This includes counselling services, homeware ‘new start’ packs for women and families entering refuge and holistic wellbeing and empowerment sessions. They are dedicated to supporting survivors to create fulfilled, safe lives and to create transformative, lasting change in the Vale of Glamorgan community.
Why this matters:
Domestic abuse affects 1 in 4 women and 1 in 6 men in their lifetime. It doesn’t discriminate — it can happen to anyone, anywhere, and often in silence. Vale DAS stands beside survivors when they have nowhere else to turn. With your support, they can continue to provide the vital care and support needed to break the cycle of abuse.
How you can help:
Please donate whatever you can — every pound makes a difference.
* £10 could fund a a comforter or toy for a child entering refuge with their Mum
* £40 could fund a counselling session for a survivor of abuse.
Together, we can help more people find safety, hope, and a fresh start. 💜
Thank you so much for your support
