Story
I've been extremely lucky to be awarded a place to run the 2025 London Marathon by the wonderful North Somerset Athletics Club.
For those who don't know, NSAC is a multi-award winning, England Athletics affiliated club established in 2004 focused on inspiring young people to take up, enjoy, and succeed in all aspects of athletics. A community club run by fantastic local coaches and volunteers with a real passion for what they do, NSAC has been a central part of my daughter Lucy's life for the last few years and given her a wonderful love for sport, for teamwork, and for hard work towards a goal.
The club is facing challenges at the moment with (hopefully temporary!) loss of access to key facilities at their main training site at Clevedon School. I'm hoping to raise some funds to help support the club through this period of transition and rebuilding.
I will split any funds raised between the club and their chosen charity partner: Children's Hospice South West, who provide hospice care for babies, children and young people living with life-limiting conditions and their whole family. Hospice stays, emergency care, palliative care and end of life care at 3 wonderful children's hospices; Little Bridge House in Devon, Charlton Farm in Somerset and Little Harbour in Cornwall.
