Story

This year I'll be taking part in my first ever charity fundraising challenge! I've picked the London to Brighton Off-road bike ride, supporting the British Heart Foundation.

Off-road cycling has been my thing ever since my late teens, when I discovered the allure of escaping from the tarmac, and joined the charmingly-named "Rough-Stuff Fellowship". The London to Brighton event will be a challenge for me as it's somewhat further and faster than my usual leisure rides. I will be getting some serious training in over the summer months!

The British Heart Foundation is a great charity to be supporting. Cyclists, like all other athletes, depend on their heart to keep them going in all situations. Both I and another cyclist in my family have had heart scares in the past and we are grateful to the BHF for their research which helps prevention, treatment and cure of heart and circulatory disease. Please contribute generously to help me reach my target.

I'll leave you with some photos of my previous cycling adventures - hoping this one will be just as exciting!
