adidas Manchester Marathon 2026 · 19 April 2026 ·

Sepsis accounts for 48,000 deaths annually in the UK, that’s more than breast, bowel and prostate cancer put together. Sepsis is what happens when our immune system overreacts to an infection. Symptoms initially present as flu like but can rapidly deteriorate into a life threatening condition.

Story

In April 2026 I’ll be taking on my first ever marathon in memory of my amazing mum, who we sadly lost to sepsis 12 years ago.

Sepsis is a condition that can affect anyone, at any time, and it takes too many lives far too soon. The UK Sepsis Trust does incredible work raising awareness, supporting families, and helping to save lives through education and research.

I’m hoping to raise £1,000 for this fantastic cause, and any donation, big or small, would mean the world. Thank you so much for your support ❤️
