Running a marathon is an enormous personal achievement. Our London Marathon charity runners not only complete one of the most famous races in the world, but also raise vital funds to support some of the UK's most vulnerable children and young people.

Story

Hi everyone!

This year I’ve decided to take on the London Marathon in support of Brathay, a charity that does incredible work helping young people build confidence and resilience through transformative experiences — particularly in the outdoors. Brathay gives young people the chance to explore nature, push their limits, and discover strengths they might not have known they had. As someone who loves the outdoors myself, I’m proud to support a charity that uses the power of nature to change lives. It’s also a charity especially close to me, as Anna’s dad proudly works for them up in the Lake District — one of my favourite places in the world.

I’m excited (and a little nervous!) to be training for the marathon. Running has become a powerful motivator for me, helping me build resilience, manage my mental health, and redefine my relationship with myself and my capabilities. I’ve felt a growing desire over the past couple of years to challenge myself with this distance, and now feels like the right time to go for it.

Any donation, big or small, means a lot and has a real impact.

Thank you so much for your support!
