Welcome to our JustGiving campaign, where we're on a mission to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families facing food insecurity. We are Pleck Pantry, part of the charity Steps to Work working in partnership with Your Local Pantry, a dedicated group committed to ensuring that no one in our community goes to bed hungry.

Imagine the faces of children lighting up with smiles as they receive a nutritious meal, or the relief on a parent's face knowing they can provide for their family. These are the moments that drive us to do what we do. Over the last 9 months, we've provided affordable but nutritious food, to those in need, but the need is greater than ever before.

In the Walsall community, 41% of families struggle to put food on the table due to various challenges. The pandemic and the cost of living crisis has further exacerbated this issue, leaving many without a stable source of nourishment. Our food pantry has witnessed an increase in demand, and we're determined to rise to the occasion. We are currently however at the maximum capacity with the donations we receive, therefore we are looking to get further donations so we can either open an extra day a week or increase available numbers which will mean that more families will be able to access the support. With the winter around the corner, it is important we act now so that we are prepared for the winter ahead.

Our Goal:

With your support, we aim to raise £2500 to continue providing essential food items to those who need it most. Every pound you contribute will help us purchase nutritious food, maintain our operations, and reach even more individuals and families.

Impact:

• A donation of £5 can provide a family of 5 with a healthy nutritious meal.

• A donation of £25 can provide a week's worth of groceries for a single parent.

• £50 can pay for a fareshare delivery which will support approximately 10 families in need

• A generous gift of £100 can contribute to our ongoing efforts to combat food insecurity support us with the increasing overheads to maintain the shop.
