About Me
I am proud to be taking on the Snowman’s Trek in support of Laureus, a charity that uses the power of sport to transform the lives of young people around the world.
Sport has shaped my own journey from a very young age. I have played professional rugby since 2016, representing Northampton Saints, England 7s and Great Britain 7s, among others. I have experienced the highs of winning trophies, competing in a World Cup, European Games and Commonwealth Games, as well as the lows of career-threatening injuries and multiple surgeries. Those setbacks have tested me, but they’ve also built resilience, perspective and a deeper appreciation for the opportunities sport provides.
This cause is also deeply personal to me. My twin brother, Freddie, has autism, and growing up alongside him has given me a deep connection to inclusion and a commitment to helping those who face adversity in life. That’s why I believe so strongly in the work Laureus does every day.
The trek will push me so far out of my comfort zone, but it’s nothing compared to the daily challenges many young people face. I’m determined to give my all to support Laureus and the incredible impact they make.
About Laureus Sport for Good Foundation
Founded under the Patronage of Nelson Mandela, Laureus Sport for Good uses sport as a powerful and cost-effective tool to help children and young people overcome violence, discrimination and disadvantage in their lives.
Sport plays a pivotal role in driving positive change in the lives of children and young people, and that was proven in many ways in 2024.
The year saw Laureus Sport for Good projects and programmes impact 258,000+ participants. More than 50 percent were girls and young women, which is an important achievement as Laureus aims to strengthen its gender equity programming.
Laureus supported 293 programmes and initiatives that use sport as a tool to tackle violence, discrimination and inequality across 36 countries or territories. That support isn’t only seen in grant making— it’s also through the development of policies; evidencing the impact of these initiatives; and delivery of capacity-building trainings (more than 8,500 coaches were trained) to strengthen our local partners implementing the work day in and day out.
About The Snowman Trek
The Snowman Trek is widely regarded as one of the toughest high-altitude treks on the planet. Traversing more than 300km across the Bhutanese Himalayas, the route crosses 11 mountain passes – many above 5,000 metres – and takes participants through isolated valleys, glacial lakes and ancient monasteries.
The trek demands extraordinary physical and mental resilience, with unpredictable weather and extreme altitude adding to the challenge.
This year, participants will take on the Snowman Trek not only for adventure, but to raise vital funds for Laureus Sport for Good, the global foundation that uses sport to transform the lives of young people.
Laureus currently supports over 290 programmes in 36 countries, reaching more than 258,000 young people through sport-based initiatives that tackle violence, discrimination and inequality.
