Story
With pancreatic cancer, silence is deadly. It’s a disease that gets too little attention and funding, and far too many people are passing away from it. We are getting involved by undertaking the National Three Peaks Challenge. By doing this, we are raising awareness of Pancreatic Cancer through telling our friends, family and others why we are doing this.
By 2026, it will become the fourth-biggest cancer killer yet only 3.2% of cancer research funding goes towards Pancreatic Cancer. Pancreatic cancer currently receives less than 3% of all available funding for Cancer Research so any donations you are able to make will hopefully help transform the future for everyone affected by this awful disease.
This event is in memory of our dear colleagues and friends Paul Bamford, Section Supervisor from LOSCOE P’Way and Gerry Vorster, EPME, both who lost their battles to pancreatic cancer.
