Its great to see so many people tackling the Yorkshire 3 Peaks along with many other walks and training in the area. Personally every time I’m out around the 3 Peaks, I’m reminded how lucky we are to have places like this that we can drive up to and explore, walk, run in our own way. But the outdoors isn’t without its risks, and that’s where the Cave Rescue Organisation comes in.

They’re a team made up entirely of volunteers who drop everything to rescue people when situations may not go to plan. Maybe they get lost, have accidents or for many other reasons become stuck. Ands need hlep, thats where the CRO come into action.

The CRO rely 100% on donations to keep going. For me, I’ve been lucky not to need them, but several times I’ve seen them on the fells and moorlands, and it’s nothing short of incredible that we have this service to come help those that need it.

So, I’m asking that everyone who can access all this space for free, to support the people who save us if we need it. Just a small donation from as many people as possible who are on the 3 peaks will help keep the CRO ready for when someone needs them most.
