This April I’ll be running the London Marathon for Petals, a brilliant charity that provides specialist counselling for parents who have suffered the devastating loss of a pregnancy, or death of a baby.

Why am I doing this? A few years ago two of my closest friends suffered the worst loss imaginable when their daughter died tragically and unexpectedly at just a few days old. I can only begin to imagine just how devastating a loss like this is, and how helpless and alone the aftermath is, with constant reminders of the loss of something wonderful which you’ve been so excited to prepare for.

Fortunately Petals was there for my friends in their worst moments to help give them hope and to cope with their grief. Even now, some time after their loss, they continue to receive invaluable support from Petals.

Petals is a really small charity, and aren’t able to take on every parent who is referred to them after a loss. Any sponsorship you’re able to provide will be invaluable in offering support people to people like my friends when they desperately need it. Thank you for anything you’re able to give.
