London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

I was lucky/unlucky enough to get a place in this years London marathon. So thought I would take the opportunity to raise some money for two charities close to me.

Parkinson's effected my Grandad in his later years and my awesome mother-in-law Carole was diagnosed with Parkinson's 21 years ago and has been tackling it head on ever since, in the way only a Love could. Effecting 1-500 people in the UK and with no current cure it would be amazing to raise some money to help the charity continue there incredible work and hopefully one day find a cure.

Parkinson's disease is a brain disorder that causes unintended or uncontrollable movements, such as shaking, stiffness, and difficulty with balance and coordination. Symptoms usually begin gradually and worsen over time. As the disease progresses, people may have difficulty walking and talking.
