I'm running Stroud Half Marathon on Sunday 26th October to raise money for Whiteshill Playgroup. If you have a few quid spare, please chuck it their way.

Despite their vital role in the community and the development of young people, committee-run charity playgroups operate on shoestring budgets, constantly hunting for grants and fundraising just to keep going.

I became a committee member at Whiteshill just over a year ago. It's been eye-opening to see the team's passion and dedication to making the playgroup a special place, despite the financial challenges.
