Story

On the 7th of September I will be running the Great North Run, this will be my longest event in over 20 years so just getting to the end will be an achievement. I made it in through the ballot so don’t need to raise money for charity, but seeing as how we have two schnauzers and have partaken in a few schnauzerfest events and have seen first hand what they do it felt only right to want to raise money for them.

A little bit about Schnauzerfest…

At Schnauzerfest, we believe that every dog deserves a second chance at life. Our mission is to raise funds to provide essential veterinary care for dogs rescued from puppy farms and other unfortunate circumstances. These dogs often arrive at our doors in desperate need of help, and with your support, we can transform their lives.

One of the most heart-wrenching challenges we face is restoring the eyesight of dogs blinded by cataracts. Imagine a world where these loving companions can see again, where they can experience the joy of running in the grass or playing with their favorite toys. Your contributions enable us to provide this life-changing treatment and so much more.

As I prepare for the Great North Run 2025 on September 7th, we invite you to join us in this vital cause. By supporting Schnauzerfest, you are not just donating; you are becoming a part of a community dedicated to making a difference. Together, let’s give these deserving dogs the chance they need and show them that love and compassion can truly change lives.
