Tom Ledger is raising money for Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·

The London Marathon needs no introduction. As the most iconic marathon in the world, it attracts runners of all abilities who get to soak in the incredible sights of London and the electrifying atmosphere of the crowd.

Story

In 2022, my grandad was diagnosed with stage 4 terminal lung cancer, and our family’s life changed in an instant. My grandad has always been someone I’ve looked up to—strong, kind, and full of life. Seeing him go through the challenges of cancer has been incredibly tough, but his resilience has inspired me in more ways than I can say.

As he continues to fight this disease, I’ve been thinking about how I can do something meaningful in his honour. That’s why I’ve decided to run the London Marathon in 2025. This isn’t just about completing a marathon; it’s about raising awareness and funds to support those affected by lung cancer, and showing my grandad that he’s not in this fight alone.

Having ran multiple half marathons in the past I have decided this is the perfect way in order to fundraise. Any amount of money is greatly appreciated.
