Story
When I set off from Northants Police HQ on Friday 3rd August 2025, I said this would be my one and only Police Unity Tour.
By the end of day one, that had already changed. I felt so honoured and privileged to share the road with former colleagues, old friends, and now, new ones from Northamptonshire Police. So when I was asked at the end of day three, “Doing it again next year, Tom?” — there was only one answer!
Taking part in such an incredible event, supported by amazing volunteers, was inspiration enough. But the recent tragic loss of PC Faizaan Najeeb, who died while responding to a road collision, truly cemented my decision to ride again.
The Police Unity Tour is all about honouring and remembering police officers who have died in the line of duty. It also raises vital funds for Care of Police Survivors (COPS) — a charity that supports the families of officers and staff who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
The next UK Police Unity Tour takes place on 7th–9th August 2026, with serving and retired officers cycling 220 miles through the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside before finishing at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire for a Service of Remembrance.
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my page. Your support for COPS — in any amount — really does make a difference. Together, we can make sure the families of our fallen colleagues are never forgotten.
